This building, former Emanuel Methodist Church, was Liberty Hall.
The Liberty Hall Association (early 2000s) was a member-owned collective that hosted raves and punk shows, while some members lived in the basement.
It reorganized as Liberty Hall Collective (2003-2006), a worker-owned collective that ran it as an event center and music venue.
In 2006 LHC dissolved and the building became IWW Portland IDC's union hall (-2009?), which was shared with PCASC.
This used to be the Black Rose Collective, a free store and infoshop, circa mid-2000s.
