@von Cheers :) Good to be on board, and thanks again for showing us the ropes. You were right btw. people /are/ friendly here
Ok done. Quite a lot of work to get off #facebook, actually :)
@seasidestars I juste listened to these two albums after @andielias sent me the link this afternoon.
I must say i love them, subtle melodic pop, it was very nice to hear.
It reminds me a lot of bands I listen when i was younger, and i see the were recorded 2001/2002, that explains...
It reminded me some melodes or modds from The Notwist on some songs.
@Solobasssteve Thanks Steve, also for your very kind words over on bandcamp. Our first ever bc review! That's official :)
@Solobasssteve @nicod_ @funkwhale Looks really cool.. We've only been with #bandcamp for about half a year & right now are quite happy with it, but it's always good to have some kind of backup plan if things go dire. Just cause, at some point, they probably will :)
OK! first actual new music find on #Mastodon for me - @seasidestars are a post-Beach Boys jangly pop band in that Big Star/Replacements/Teenage Fanclub direction - good noises: https://seasidestars.bandcamp.com/ #music #bandcamp #pop #guitar
wrote a thing about the #music #economy in the Internet age: http://www.stevelawson.net/2018/09/making-music-sustainably-in-the-internet-age/ #bass #sustainability
Just a quick note.. From next weekend on we'll officially be facebook-less, as from today both Seaside Stars albums + bonus material are available as name-your-price downloads over at
Feel free to share, come follow us on #bandcamp & in the fediverse, and we'll keep you updated on new stuff & projects.
