Are there still humans left who don't block 3rd party advertisements?

I thought only bots still saw them.

Yeah, artists need to be ripped off by click-bots too!

It's crazy that despite all our so-called progress, the most reliable, hassle-free way to put a light on a timer is still one of these old mechanical gizmos.

@Austin_Dern

Funny how a lot of movies from that era felt obligated to do a musical number halfway through. Even if they obviously weren't really feeling it.

I guess, so many of the actors and producers came from Vaudeville careers that they just assumed movies would be variety shows by default.

They make collectable models of REALLY obscure Star Trek stuff.

Oh yeah. Sure the USS Thunderchild.

I definitely remember what that is without looking it up. Absolutely.

Reminder : Some online optical shops will sell you prescription glasses for less than ten bucks.

That means there's no reason not to use them as parts for ... special projects.

Is it actually working on a chemical level then? Or is it just an agitator, like those stupid laundry balls?

Here's a fun fact.

While some places in USA are legalizing marijuana, other places still have not yet legalized Alcohol.

(Red counties are dry, Yellow counties are wet, but contain dry towns.)

@FiXato They are real.

Except in the self-checkout line, and sometimes the express line.

I think Americans have different shopping patterns than Europeans. We tend to buy more stuff at once, so baggers help keep the lines moving.

You do not tip them.

In the olden days they would optionally carry your stuff out to your car for you, maybe you tipped for that, but I wouldn't know, well before my time.

These weren't that nice. You wouldn't pay $10 for these.

$0.99, maybe.

This week my town outlawed disposable shopping bags.

This adds some lovely comedy to the checkout lines as people refuse to pay 10ยข for a reusable bag.

So bagging person is like "Ok, here's your pile of stuff. Good luck."

The best part of those ancient roman laundry places is that they had urinals out front so you could make a contribution.

Clearly, at some point after ST:Enterprise but before the Next Gen era, the deep space exploration agency known as Starfleet somehow absorbed the entire executive branch of the Federation government.

The space politics behind that must have been insane.
