@hafnia Yes, but when I did sit down I was knackered.
@hafnia I did All The Things this morning because I knew I'd feel too hot to get up if I sat down.
@hafnia Paint? Write? Cook?
@CuilPress Works now.
@CuilPress lol, apparently so many people are doing that that the site 503s.
Did a small but essential bit of admin involving a phone call. Phew.

I have done SO MANY THINGS.
Made ginger beer, did grocery shopping, made the beginning of limoncello and lemon syrup from the zested lemons, used leftover prosphora dough for a sort of pizza with bruschetta di pepperoni and cheese/sesame bites.
Now I'm hot and tired and a bit cross because none of those things are what I planned to do, i.e. writing and putting away laundry. (I did hang up a tiny load of laundry and put bras to soak, so there's that.)
And I'm thirsty but there's ginger beer.
I feel like I didn't sleep at all but I remember two distinct dreams: one in which I swam along the 1km long straight station road in a place where I used to live (it was flooded, obviously) and one in which I tasted wonderful kinds of tea in a tea-shop in England where I was with my daughters. One daughter wouldn't make it back in time for work and/or soccer but she didn't mind because she didn't want to miss the tea either. (Note: none of my daughters play soccer IRL)
@netkitty I agree. *pet kitty*
And I've taken all the food inside except the fava and crackers because I want to *eat* the fava and crackers, dammit. Not share it with insects.
A friend of a friend is in a truly baffling situation; there's an enormous tree branch set to destroy her house and her neighbor's place, and insurance won't help her out until her house is definitely completely destroyed. Which it is definitely going to be if nothing is done. It's major tree surgery, so the cost is preposterous.
Help a gal out? Boosts appreciated.
@OldBrushNewPaper A friend has just said it may be hers. (But she remembers where she bought it, I might be able to get a pair of my own)
Argh, article writer. "autistic people don't think verbally or linearly" is an overgeneralization. (I definitely think verbally, and I *can* think linearly but it's usually inadequate for the purpose so I don't often bother)
@zeborah Free Dictionary says it's Middle Dutch, and the English word borrowed from that. Makes sense.
@Wolthera Well, if it turns out to be yours you can of course have it back!
