EU needs to take a stand on Play Integrity. If app devs enforce Play Integrity, this means only Google Certified devices can use banking, etc. This excludes all alternative mobile OS. No #postmarketOS, no #SailfishOS, no Android derivatives #GrapheneOS etc. You don't need Play Integrity. If someone is capable to install or use alternative OS, they sure know what to install or not install, it is on their responsibility. Using non-root but bootloader unlocked device (otherwise can't use alternative OS) does not make my device less secure. On the contrary, it is using an up to date OS with the latest security patches. We’re totally fucked if judges can openly say they’re sentencing people who haven’t committed a crime simply for holding an opinion.

the cambrian explosion... good times... people weren't afraid to try new things... there were so many ways to eat the bacterial mats... you could be one or two centimeters long and feel like a big dog... bilateral symmetry had just come out and everyone was rocking it... i really was born in the wrong generation...

Here’s a thought on the current heatwave that is absolutely destroying humankind across Europe atm: maybe we should push for a regulation to allow people — ALL people — to stop working in temperatures above 30C. The economy would collapse and finally politicians would take fighting the climate crisis as a priority, rather than leaning into the bullshit narrative that “summer is summer” from their air-conditioned ivory towers.
