Just popping in to have digital scream because somebody just said something didn't exist because they checked with Google, of course they just checked with Google's AI overview, they didn't actually use a search engine, because then they would have found out that the thing they wanted did exist, and was available in the local supermarket.

The amount of money Omarchy is getting is absolutely insane. The Python Foundation has an annual budget of around $5 million, the Apache Foundation around $3 million. Meanwhile a niche Linux distribution raised $18M in 20 days.

Edit: it's not about a Linux distro. Much as it is not about "fairness in women's sports". Or "ethics in gaming journalism". Or "we need everyone's ids to protect children". These are all pushing fascism. So is this.
