@asltf Yep, that‘s what I hear a lot. Had a quick glinch into Mastodon. Out of strange reasons considered it as „complicated“. Switched back and never looked deeper into the #Fediverse.

@asltf Actually I think that there are different groups at Twitter with distinguishable behavior. One are actvists. Other are occasionally posting stuff like hobbies, private thoughts etc. And then there are people who simply read but close to never post sth. The rest are dead accounts.
I believe that the active people who really care about the platform they live in have left. The occasional poster don’t really care. The Read-only are frightened to loose the content other people deliver.
Going through my former Twitter profiles and emptying them as long API access is still working.
Keeping these profiles online as they link to this instance. Hope to either link people to the new home or at least leave a message.
What is your strategy?
