I got a „new“ 1541-II. This time with a different mechanism. It will need some extensive cleaning, but it seems to be in working order! Very happy. It might also be a candidate for retro brighting.

The Commander Keen series. Back then I thought it looked old with its 16 color graphics. But it’s actually a technically amazing feat. The PC didn’t support sprites and only very limited scrolling support was added to EGA and VGA cards. Having something like this on the PC was a bit of a miracle.
