@BioHackerBI If nutjobs need to publish their conspiracies somewhere on an instance so be it.

But there's a lack of possibility for me as a viewer of videos to report such content to instance moderators in an efficient and transparent manner. Which has been criticised for months now. And besides that, joinpeertube.org has no obligation to recommend a multitude of instances which prominently feature and distribute abysmal content.

What bothers me with #Peertube and why I'm very hesitant to donate right now is not solely the fact that it's become a vehicle for alt-right propaganda, conspiracy content, and hatred, but that this also seems to be inappropriately underestimated by the developers.

It's okay if your software has an ugly problem. It's not okay if you pretend it doesn't really matter that much.

Die TU #Darmstadt entwickelt gerade auch eine Corona-Tracing-App. Im Gegensatz zur Telekom/SAP-Lösung nutzt sie aber keine Google-/Apple-APIs und könnte damit mit @fdroidorg@mastodon.technology kompatibel sein.

Bonus: Der Ansatz ist genauso effizient, aber nochmal datensparsamer als alle bisherigen Vorschläge.
