Help for an XML novice: I have a set of individual XML files/records. I want to extract the value of two or three elements in each record and export those to, e.g. a CSV.
Can I do this with XPath?

Taking a Friday afternoon campus-wide server outage as an opportunity to catch up on #digipres reading: NDSA Levels of Preservation 2.0, DLF's Levels of Born-Digital Access, NARA's file format preservation plans.....quite the month!
Next Thursday, for World Digital Preservation Day I'll be live-streaming configuration of new environments for the EaaSI Sandbox. Please tune in and chat Linux, RDM, QEMU and EaaSI with me!

Does anyone know of any good tutorials or resources for learning Docker? Like a Carpentry or Programming-Historian style intro?
maybe don't set up Docker and bridged networks for VMs willy-nilly on your laptop when you have no idea how networking works and then spend waaaaaaay too much time trying to figure out why you can't connect to the department SMB share
@ashley @ajroach42 wow hmm yeah none still in production that I'm aware of, but looks like there are already some interesting back-stock or compatible options linked in this thread! Fascinating idea
I'm in a podcatcher conundrum:
Pocket Casts is much better designed (other than their WILD use of the word "archive") but is missing Stitcher-exclusive shows and back catalogs
Stitcher has the Premium content but alphabetizes shows starting with "The" under "T"
What do I do
Howdy! If you're interested at all in the BitCurator/EaaSI crossover hackathon next week at iPres, why not sign up for our dedicated Slack space?

If you're not going to Amsterdam, no worries - neither am I! We hope the hackathon can be a launching pad for a number of ongoing communal documentation and scripting projects that we've always wanted to see/make. Suggest, converse, contribute!
Successfully migrated all personal files from Google Drive to a Nextcloud instance on a Digital Ocean droplet!
Also got Collabora Online running with it for in-browser editing and sharing - seemed like it had a lower overhead than OnlyOffice, a bit finicky to set up but seems to be working well
