Next week we will have two exciting talks in our Ecology Colloquium! On Tuesday, 30 April (2.15 pm, lecture hall HS1), Prof. Mutez A. Ahmed will present his work on: “The hidden half of plant water relations: root-soil interactions impacting plant response to drought”. On Thursday, 2 May (2.15 pm, lecture hall HS 17) Prof. András Baldi will share his IPBES insights: “Maximizing engagement in intergovernmental bodies: high-impact papers, diverse networks, and unexpected insights”. Tomorrow our Ecology Colloquium starts into the new semester with a talk by Martin Bouda, who recently started as professor for Functional Plant Ecophysiology at Hohenheim, on "Plant vascular networks mediate ecophysiological function across scales". This semester the Colloquium will be in presence only, in the lecture hall HS1, now at the new time of 14.15 to increase compatability with family obligations. See you there!

We currently have two open PhD positions available in our group! 1) a project in experimental plant ecology focussing on fitness consequences of trait-mediated interactions between the invasive plant Impatiens glandulifera, native plants and their pollinators (from the plant perspective, see ecology.uni-hohenheim.de/flint for full job description)! 2) a project on farmland birds (within the HABIT doctoral college, see uni-hohenheim.de/en/job-openin). Application deadline for both positions is 19 Jan 2024!
