After more than six years since I last played my Godin BG5 bass, the battery still works!
It is due for a restringing and a clean up, though.

Fret not - I'll still be posting more often here.
Great weather for coffee!
Who cares about gaming at 1080@60? I'm having a blast with my i3-6100U Intel NUC. If it can run games and still make them look alright in windowed mode, it's a keeper.
(I've currently got "Art of Rally", "Atelier Sophie", "Tales of Berseria" and "SoulCalibur VI" on the aforementioned machine, which is running AntiX Linux.)
The weather is absolutely perfect for me to wash my car.
Trying out AntiX Linux at the moment. I'll still be using my Arch machines (and my NixOS machine) for most of the time, but I figured that it would be interesting to try a distro that doesn't use systemd.
Being primarily an Arch user, I was tempted to try out Artix, but they were way too heavy-handed with their hatred for systemd.
While I'm glad that Valve is finally making the Steam Deck officially available to Australia (and with reasonable pricing), I'm not going out of my way to get one for a long while.
I'm not into the latest AAA games, so I'm perfectly happy with what I have.
Replacing BazziteOS with LMDE on my Anbernic Win600 actually makes it feel more like a computer.
NGL, it does feel weird to use something Debian-based after spending the past year on both Arch and NixOS, but if it works, it works.
The Anbernic Win600 makes for a pretty good Steam Deck replacement if you're not into the latest AAA games. Simply replace Windows with Bazzite, allocate more V-RAM from the BIOS, and you're good to go.
"Tales of Berseria" looks really good at 600p on the small screen if you lock the frame rate at 30.
Mark my words - Timo Werner could very well end up becoming the Daizen Maeda of Tottenham.
Yes, people expect strikers to score goals, but even if Timo is unable to capitalise on his chances, his presence as a potential threat is still a danger for the opposing team.
Congratulations to the Brisbane Lions.
On that note, my commiserations to the Sydney Swans and their supporters. As a St Kilda fan who watched the 2010 Grand Final replay, I completely understand how it feels to be torn apart like that.
Car rego: sorted.
Car insurance: sorted (and I'm paying less than what I paid last year).
VIT registration: sorted.
Time for taxes...
@caity It just simply flew by. Resuming my Japanese lessons did speed things up.
Kinda hard to imagine I returned to Australia exactly 52 weeks ago.
Still alive, folks!
(I think...)
If Wayne Rooney wants to succeed as a manager, he needs to develop his chops at a lower level. Perhaps he should try out in the A-League, given that we still don't have a proper second tier.
Whelp. Time to restring my bass and get down to work. I've got a bass line to write, rehearse, and record.
Just got a severe reminder of how finicky the weather can be in Naarm/Melbourne after five years away. Within the space of about 75 minutes, I experienced a bright and clear sky, an overcast sky, a massive downpour, AND a massive downpour with a bright and clear sky.
Flights and hotels all booked. That's right, I'll be dropping by Japan for about two weeks next year.
