Good morning. There's nothing better than having a decent coffee while listening to music at 7:30 before starting work.
No coffee, no life.
Oh, and good morning from Melbourne/Naarm.
Mawiza's cover of "Battery" by Metallica ("Awükan") totally slaps, more so given that it was performed entirely in Mapuzungun, an indigenous Chilean language.
Got my ticket to see Electric Callboy here in Melbourne/Naarm next year.
GDI, Pete Cottrell. Now I'm tempted to actually give Nickelback a fair listen.
Whelp, so much for trying to install and enable TLP on my AerynOS ThinkPad. It's one of the downsides of the concept behind the OS itself.
Hopefully the team behind the Cosmic desktop environment will find a way to implement battery charging limits to get around this limitation.
Posting this from my Steam Deck.
A word (or two) of caution, though - while it is entirely possible to use the Steam Deck (with SteamOS as it is) as a desktop computer, it's trickier to do so than your standard Linux distro. I'm relying entirely on AppImages for my software needs.
"The Book of Mormon" will be returning to Melbourne next year. Neat.
Speaking as a qualified Italian teacher (yes, even though my family background is Singaporean Chinese), it's quite fascinating that gendering loan words from languages other than English can be an art form in itself.
Tl;dr: normally masculine by default, but exceptions can be made based on what they visually resemble, and if the template already has an Italian name.
NGL.
I was skeptical about the existence of Nyarch Linux, but now that I have confirmed its existence, I don't know whether I should feel amazed or scared.
I gave in. I decided to get the discounted Steam Deck in the end.
I'll still find some use for the Anbernic Win600, though. I might pop by Bunnings one of these days to get a torque screwdriver so that I can remove the battery, and use it as a server of sorts.
