Your Java Runtime Has a Security Update. Did You Apply It?
Every three months, a new Java security release drops. This week, it happened again. And every three months, many Java deployments around the world simply donβt get updated.
With all the alarming messages about AI-detected #security issues, bumping your #Java runtimes to the latest version has become more important than ever!
#Azul can help you, as I explain in this blog post: https://www.azul.com/blog/your-java-runtime-has-a-security-update-did-you-apply-it/

Happy reading, and have a lovely #Java weekend!
New video on the #MelodyMatrix project.
I had some #JavaFX layout issues with #BentoFX that I couldn't crack, so I invited the creator, Matt Coley, to look at the code together.
We used Scenic View to debug the running scene, removed some AI-generated code that conflicted with BentoFX's internal workings, and possibly found a bug in the library itself.
Good honest session worth watching.

Lottie4J had a unit test I marked "can not run on CI, because it requires a display."
JavaFX 26 fixed that. There's a built-in headless platform now, one JVM flag, and GitHub Actions just work without any display setup.
There's a small catch with Java version juggling (JavaFX 26 requires Java 24+, @lottie4j targets Java 21), but a Maven profile handles it cleanly.

Happy reading, and have a lovely #Java weekend!
I published the first release of MelodyMatrix, a #JavaFX desktop app that lets you experience music in a new way with real-time MIDI recording, multiple visualization views, and powerful playback features. Together with Steve Hannah, the creator of #jDeploy, we finetuned the project and GitHub Actions to build V1.0.0 live on camera!
