Between January 22 and 27, you can join the FREE ONLINE conference with only Java Champions as speakers. I'll be talking about the FFM API, but there are many more interesting topics! Check the schedule here: https://jchampionsconf.com
Live streams on YouTube are already available to add alerts to be notified when a session starts:

One of the strangest things of 2025: I walked into @devoxx room, 15 minutes before I was going to talk about the FFM API. The previous speaker was wrapping up his talk when I heard him say my name among the people who convinced him to start presenting at conferences! And now I stumble upon his earlier post from last year. Thanks, Markus Westergren, for the shoutout.

I started my 2026 #JavaOnSingleBoardComputers and #JavaOnRiscV journey with two different #OrangePi boards. The 5 Ultra with #ARM processor, and RV2 with #RISCV.
Quick conclusion: Java works great on both, of course :-)

Happy reading, and have a lovely #Java weekend!
Ever since I started my #JavaOnRaspberryPi journey in 2019 for my book "Getting Started with Java on the Raspberry Pi", I've been fascinated with these tiny, inexpensive computers.
For 2026, I've set one of my goals to experiment with different types of Single-Board Computers (SBC). These boards are available with different processors based on x86, ARM, and RISC-V.
In this blog, I compare these processors:

Thanks to contributions from Talik Kasozi, I was able to release V1.0.0 of my #LemonSqueezy #Java library with support for #SpringBoot. More info on https://github.com/codewriterbv/lemonsqueezy-java/releases/tag/1.0.0
