On Friday, @rkdarst gave an internal-but-public talk on "simple deployment of web services" (concepts/examples). The target was people (like Research Software Engineers) who might be benefit from simpler deployment of web services and have access to and support of kubernetes.

If you're at , we can support you in this kind of project!

Talk by me tomorrow:

We say "email me for data" isn't acceptable for open science. Then is "email me with updates or corrections" ok? Probably not. We talk about how Github can be used, even for small projects and by non-programmers, to synchronize working on projects and what this should mean for . This talk is high-level and aspirational.

Please help checking and send corrections for all the various operating systems, surely there is more to do still.

Blog post: Preparing for new Triton. Sometime in the autumn, our cluster will get an OS upgrade. Unlike most clusters, this happens gradually in-place to minimize disruption and get the most out of existing hardware. It will require changes and awareness from our users to keep your stuff running on the new OS. Read the post to see how to prepare: aaltoscicomp.github.io/blog/20

It's designed for beginners/intermediates to introduce things slowly, recognizing that most use is simple, and grouping advanced uses together how they are used. It'll be used in our workshop next week.
