Tonight I discovered https://about.theatl.social operated by @michael & @r It’s pretty awesome to see locals on here 😁 They’ve also setup some local news bots that aggregate under @atlantanews that I’ve also started following and am appreciative of.

@ironicbadger - I was just listening to the latest episode of #SelfHosted where you talk about using a travel router and it got me to wondering if you know how to fix the bug that prevents the @tailscale exit node feature from working on the GL.iNet OS. I’ve got a GL-A1300 and have learned there’s a bug related to the routing tables that breaks all outbound traffic when the exit node feature is enabled.
I’m impressed enough with native (systemd-nspawn) #NixOS containers that I think I’m going to use them for more parts of my home server as a way of providing a tad bit more isolation between services.

Tonight I setup #backups via #restic that’ll be stored in #Backblaze B2 for my home server. #NixOS made configuring everything surprisingly easy. Now to see how long that initial backup takes….

Let’s go ladies! I’m loving watching the #USWNT in the #SheBelieves Cup at Mercedes Benz Stadium in #ATL

There is serious satisfaction in doing the #homelab version of a production cutover!

@james regarding your device that needs to be power cycled after the internet modem is up, you could use a zigbee or zwave smart plug combined with home assistant’s https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/dnsip or similar. Make an automation that will cycle the device via the plug once home assistant can talk to the internet again. I have something similar setup so that my router doesn’t think its public ip is the modem’s private ip, which happens sometimes after a power failure
