@HeatherRojo unrelated to my other post, it looks like we have a lot of similar interests, particularly #Scouting & #genealogy. I’ve got some pretty deep roots including #Buffington who signed the West Jersey Compact. At least one direct ancestor was also in the Revolution, too. I’m still trying to connect my various ancestors across the ocean - the tended to have not-unique names from Ireland & England. Ancestry DNA is helping me make headway though.

Hey @trunksapp how do I get the unread notifications to be marked as read? I’ve looked at all of them and tapped them but the don’t change
Y’all… #Asheville and the rest of western NC got whacked so hard by the hurricane. I expect to see this kind of stuff in Florida… not 2000 feet above sea level and hundreds of miles inland in the mountains. 😢 I know many other areas got hit hard too, but I have a soft spot for Asheville and so that’s why I’m mentioning it specifically. #Helene

Hey @trunksapp - the “unroll as article” feature is seriously cool, nice work!
Hey @ChrisLAS & @ironicbadger - I know you all have talked about #Bitfocus Companion a few times... I mentioned this to my coworkers and found out we actually not only use it, but have a module built into it! Funny how you can hear about a thing in one place and find it so many more once you start looking.

Figuring out how install @fedora #CoreOS on bare metal via iPXE without access to dhcp and with a static ip on a vlan subinterface was a pain, but it finally worked and I’m pretty stoked to move on to configuring the bits atop #FCOS now… but first, sleep 😴

@james I was envisioning the OG structured data being in xml and then being easily parsed out by anything that needs it. Opengraph supports multiple images fine so long as they are each at a different place in the structure. The default tags all start with og: but other tags such as those for Twitter preview cards start with twitter:
At least that’s what was in my head. Here’s an example of what I’m referring to:

1/2 @dave @james @nathan For this banner and other extras for the feed, why are we reinventing things? If we want to make something easily consumable for sharing and many other things then we should start with open graph as the base. A schema already exists that supports many things and could be extended to have a podcast namespace a la structured data under a podcast namespace.
@james I very much enjoy the radio futurologist show and was glad to hear a new episode just now
