A thorough investigation is sometimes frustratingly slow, but if there still was doubt about #genocide in #Gaza, after this #UN investigation that doubt is completely unfounded.

I sometimes get asked if there is room for ambition in a #degrowth world?
My answer: absolutely – just not in the endless pursuit of personal wealth.
In what then?
The philosophy of transcendentals has one answer. Focus instead on the universal values of:
Truth –> #science and #education
Goodness –> #politics and ethics
Beauty –> #art
In all of these activities, there is almost no limit to how far you can follow your ambition, while still remaining within planetary limits.
Pertinent analogy:

I want to state the obvious.
Alphabet's Q4 2024 net income was 100 billion dollars, but that's not enough for 2025. Alphabet needs to increase their profits for 2025, because the shareholders demand a constant increase in share price.
Alphabet not only has to maintain their already stupendous profits in 2025 Q1, but find even more.
It's hopelessly naive to think a corporation like this would not seek profits from unethical business at the latest when they can't squeeze more from ethical ones.
