Mauna Loa on the Island of Hawaii is erupting at the moment in the summit caldera.

This reminded me of summiting Mauna Loa in 1997 on day 2 of a solo hike from Mauna Loa Lookout via the Pu'u 'Ula'ula (Red Hill) cabin.
