@caltlgin I'm going to major in Computer Science and minor in Music. This semester, I'm taking:
- German I
- Computer Science I (general compsci and java basics)
- Calculus II w/ Analytic Geometry (😁 🔫)
- Ethics of War
and a seminar thing that's just like "how to survive college" or whatever. I had an abundance of that in high school so it won't be of much use 🤷♂️
First day of classes was alright but calculus is going to be hard. The professor barely takes a breath 😖
@firstname.lastname@example.org What is it that you didn't like about them?
Other than using their special websites, I'm always connected to my personal WireGuard VPN so my traffic is encrypted and private.
@email@example.com I'm in the US as well. I would typically be very concerned with running something like this but I need it to set up direct deposit; I'm employed by the university and have to use all their tools anyway 😕
I'm actually rather impressed. My uni provided a Python script that was literally plug-and-play to connect to the secured campus WiFi network.
I literally just entered my username/password and the keys were automatically generated and enrolled with the campus security system. Not only that but I also automatically connected to the WiFi network. I am impressed 🤔
I think my room mate likes parties :blobegbert:
It's 04:23 and he woke me up bringing a pizza back to our room along with a girl. On Friday, he went to stay at a friend's apartment, turned out it was a party, got wasted, and didn't come back until eleven something the next day 😩
If I hadn't taken a snapshot of my server before attempting to resize partitions, it would be in flames right now :blobsweats:
Does anyone have experience resizing a LUKS-encrypted partition without LVM? I used fdisk and deleted sda2 (extended) and sda5 (logical), remade them filling the whole disk while making sure the beginning block for sda5 was the same, used cryptsetup to resize the luks volume, then ran e2fsck on /dev/mapper/cryptdisk to verify that things were ok. Things were not ok 😢 resize2fs didn't work for extending the filesystem either.
@firstname.lastname@example.org I'll boot from some rescue image and resize with that :blobwink:
I seem to have forgotten to increase partition size after upgrading servers. I have 120 GB of empty disk right now :thonking:
I am 0% packed and I move into uni tomorrow morning :blobugh:
That would be Open Whisper Systems.
