Once again, I'm considering dropping support for Android 4.4 KitKat. I just think there aren't enough happy users (remember, you need a powerful processor to send messages) and it's quite a hassle to keep it running on both platforms. Any thoughts? :abit:
Abit version 1.0-rc1 is out. Now with working drafts, and Arabic and French translation. Thanks a lot to NourEddineX for the Arabic translation!

Coming up soon: Abit 1.0-rc1
Abit version 1.0-beta20 released. There was a really ugly bug on Oreo devices, and I'm truly sorry it took so long to fix it. 🙈 🐌
Abit version 1.0-beta19 is out now. Who'd have thought there still were some bugs? 🤔

Abit version 1.0-beta18 is out now. It contains a lot of bugfixes, but I'm sure I didn't get all of them - please test 😃

There are some major performance improvements for people with a big inbox, and automatically connecting to Wi-Fi works on devices with nougat and newer. On the other hand, support for KitKat is only best effort from now on, I think of dropping it altogether. I'm sorry for those 30 users, but it's quite a hassle to keep supporting it.
There are still a few bugs, but an annoying one with the floating action button is resolved.
Also, there is an experimental progress bar for the proof of work (sending message) notification. It's mostly fake, but should give the user some sense of progress and the time to be expected. Due to the way POW works, a proper progress indicator is not possible.

It works! I have no clue what it was, but after migrating @Jabit to #Kotlin and fixing some nullability issues, the key exchange suddenly worked! I'll soon release a new build.
I really could use some help with a bug in Abit. See https://dissem.ch/2017/05/07/Abit_woes.html
