The main fix was, as always, dead simple. Instead of relying on hit normal or sword velocity on impact, I had to convert the Hit Location to the Local Space of the Sword and back to World Space after a delay to get an accurate direction.
Didn't expect to struggle so much with accurate hit detection, but this Minigame is taking shape!
Inventory logic works pretty nicely, just needs some more love. Not sure how to best keep track of per instance variables tho.

Physical Character interactions were pretty painful to implement, but totally worth it.
Didn't find a good way to add a +Z offset for actual steps though
Working on IK Targets, but for small Characters, jumping up stairs may be preferable

@pauljan @sinbad I think it would be nice if a patreon would still be accompanied by a single-donation option (paypal/ko-fi/..). I do kinda get why people aren't a fan of monthly payments as they're harder to keep track of and too many things are subscriptions nowadays
