Formula 1 is to use a brand new layout of Bahrain's Sakhir track for the second race to be held in the Gulf state this year.
This shortens the track to 2.28 miles and is expected to produce qualifying lap times of less than 55 seconds.
Bahrain will hold events on 29 November and 6 December.

Not quite the dominant day we expected from the Silver Arrows. Bottas led FP1 narrowly from Hamilton and Red Bull’s Verstappen, while Hamilton was their leading runner in FP2 in P3, 0.096s off Verstappen’s time – although Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner reckoned that Hamilton had around three-tenths in hand before a mistake in the final chicane. A bit of work needed overnight for the Silver Arrows, then, if they want to enjoy their usual crushing qualifying.

With track temperatures some 10 degrees hotter than in FP1 this morning, Hamilton’s best time from the qualifying simulations in FP2 was a 1m 16.883s, 0.098s slower than Bottas’ session-leading time from earlier in the day – while Bottas had a small hesitation at Turn 16 on his fastest flying lap, which may partially explain the gap to his team mate, before later running slightly off the track at Turn 12 on his long run.

Perez tested positive for the virus after travelling to Mexico, one of the world's coronavirus hotspots, to visit his mother after she had an accident.
Valtteri Bottas has done it. New contract on Thursday, grabs the 13th pole position of his career on Saturday.
So, so so close. Just 0.063 seconds is the gap to Lewis Hamilton.
Nico Hulkenberg, who stepped off the substitutes' bench last week only to have his car fail him on race day last Sunday, will start tomorrow in third. A truly brilliant effort from him.
FP3 is on in SIlverstone. Over halfway through the session, and the wind is playing havoc out there. Russell has had a moment through Stowe, getting a wobble on midway through the corner. No spins yet, but it could be only a matter of time if this wind increases.
