2023 Dakar Rally: Stage 13 - It’s game on for the 2023 Dakar Rally as Toby Price leads Red Bull Factory Racing teammate Kevin Benavides by just 12 seconds after 43 hours of racing.

The penultimate stage of the rally saw Benavides triumph and Price finish fifth. It was rookie sensation Michael Docherty (Husqvarna) who came home second from Luciano Benavides (Husqvarna) and Adrien Van Beveren (Honda) in fourth.

Assisted by his new co-pilot Édouard Boulanger, on the last special the Frenchman has withstood the attacks from the duo of Nasser Al-Attiyah and Matthieu Baumel to obtain his eighth overall triumph on the Dakar in the car category and his 14th title overall on the most prestigious of rally-raids. What’s more, “Mister Dakar” has triumphed 30 years after his first crown on a bike in 1991.

All the three riders of the Hero MotoSports Team Rally today delivered an inspired run in Stage 2 of the 2021 Dakar Rally. Pushing hard, the riders posted significant gains with Joaquim Rodrigues finishing the stage in 12th place, Sebastian Buhler in 14th place and C S Santosh in 36th place.

Today, the Wadi Ad-Dawasir loop, over 630 total kilometers, including 403 km against the clock, once again turned the Dakar standings on their head!

Stage 3 has arrived and sees competitors tackle a grueling 403km route across Wadi Ad-Dawasir.
The Dakar caravan now moves on to the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
At a total 813 kilometers, tomorrow’s leg is the longest of this year’s Dakar.
However, only 337 kilometers are against the clock.

Tomorrow sees the first looping stage of this Dakar 2021, held between Wadi Al-Dawasir – Wadi Al-Dawasir, with 403 kilometers against the clock, plus a 226 km liaison section, making up a total stage of 629 kilometers for the one hundred or so riders taking part.

Peterhansel started the stage from second place and was the fastest driver in the early stages. Later in the day, he took over as the first car on the route, which made navigation more difficult and slowed him down a little. His rivals benefitted from the Frenchman’s tracks and caught up. Peterhansel ended the stage in second place and consequently climbed into the overall lead.
