I realized I didn't have the correct size of connectors for the coax I used in this choke, so I improvised so I could test it....
The good news - it works and eliminates the RFI that was being re-radiated via the coax shield!
This means (once I order the proper connectors) I can finally permanently hook up the really tall vertical antenna and NOT accidentally shock my dog if she wanders through the part of the kitchen where the coax goes under the floor😀
Dubstep + FT8 while the baby sleeps on a blanket on the shack floor. Not a bad evening.
Dubstep had been a REZZ / Subtronics vibe, and FT8 has gotten me a couple new countries on 40m.
@mcornick yeah, those are rough conditions to try to get permanent stuff in place. I think that's why mobile and portable stuff has gotten so popular
@HopelessDemigod because we are the way we are in our house, the plastic eggs actually had a mix of polished gemstones, quartz, and such in them (like little bits of quartz, aquamarine, etc).
We listen to a Rolling Stones album every year on Easter morning, because come on, who doesn't like a pun AND the Rolling Stones.
Anyway, it'll probably be 40 Licks unless anyone has a suggestion for a favorite.
Since I have some cute little lizards in the shack with me now, I'm kind of wondering what the plural of "herp" is...🤔
