I'm left handed, but I skateboard left foot forward, and batted right handed when I played little league. My kids all seem to be right handed, but 2 of them seem to be goofy footed when they're on their scooters and skateboards and stuff.
Just a random tidbit I found interesting.
Oof. Trying to figure out where in my audio setup I had my left and right channels swapped.

I had my headphones on backwards.
Finally got on the FT8 bandwagon, and have been getting to add a decent number of new pins to my map.
It's too late for #WorkbenchWednesday, and too early for #Shackturday but since this is somewhere in the middle anyway, we'll call it good.
Upgraded the lighting at my little workbench in the shack...just put some LED strips under a couple of the shelf lips.
Where my #Hawaii and #Wyoming #HamRadio peeps at?
They're the only states I need for WAS. I've worked them both in the past, but never confirmed on LOTW.
I'm on the east coast, but I often stay up late so would be willing to do a sked for some evening after your dinner, when I can be sure my kids would be asleep so I can play radio for a bit.
How do you all store your QSL cards? (for those that keep them)
I went through and sorted the few I have, and I'm thinking some kind of photo box meant to hold 4x6 pictures would work nicely for keeping them alphabetized and sticking new ones in their correct spots, but I've also considered sleeves for a 3 ring binder.
Since getting the anoles (first time keeping lizards since I was a teen) I had decided to just do mail order replenishment of their feeder insects, to keep it easier than what I did when I was young. After just a couple months though, I've changed my mind already, so I now have a mini cricket farm in my garage.
I guess I can consider it part of our emergency food supplies as wellπ
Stayed up way too late, but was cleaning up old logs, and getting some of my old ones from various places imported into my cloudlog. I finally have all my QSO records in one place, instead of scattered between home log, portable logs, misc. logs from when I was first licensed etc.
Next project in that vein will be printing up some QSL cards and sending out a few. I prob won't go too far back in time, but maybe the last year or so.
Happy 235th birthday to Samuel Morse, born April 27, 1791. π
No dots and dashes β no telegraph β no radio β no us. It's a straight line.
This Amateur Radio History Month, we're grateful for every operator who carried that tradition forward β and for everyone still sending CW today. π»π³οΈβπ

Our power is out - heard a thump and then what sounded like a gunshot while I was out doing animal chores, so I'm assuming someone hit a pole or something. Power company notification said 30 houses are without power (so probably my neighborhood)
Anyway - great time to see if the noise on HF is still present...
