Here's another trick: We talk away those books because we're not talking to the person with the power. In many cases, if we rethink the ideal reader, we can focus on the person with the power and write a BETTER book.

(That does not apply to cookbooks 😆 )

In any male-dominated workplace or industry, the women who do work there will on average be more competent than the men. This is obvious if you understand statistical probability and gender bias.
