I already spent a lot of mental work anticipating the needs of my daughter and wife, and now my mom is in the mix.
I have many reasons to be angry with mom. I'm the typical ignored GenX kid. Now I'm responsible for her care. I didn't choose this dependent.
We have a 5yr old, and became a multi-generational house overnight. Living with dementia patient is like having a bad roommate who follows you around and doesn't understand when you get irritated with her.
Getting irritated with her is like being mad at a cat.

An ice storm hit a couple weeks ago that froze a pipe in my mom's house, caused a flood, and now she's moved in with us for the remodel.
I'm building her a studio in our backyard, and we plan to rent the old house.
Mom has dementia, and it's much worse than any of us thought. It's obvious now that she's in a fog most of the time, and it must terrify her.
