Found out something interesting today. If you hold an Alberta Motor Association membership for 50 years, you get Basic coverage free. I joined when taking driving lessons, so this is actually in my sights now.

It’s nice when something like a job interview can be a place for self-learning. I had some immediate thoughts afterwards — about how I fit at this workplace, what skills I have that are not currently being leveraged — but the stronger revelations came after sleeping on it. I am good at building things — systems, user experiences, community. My day job needs to have that to “spark joy.” #MacAdmins

Did something that I haven’t done in a long while: apply for a job. This position was internal, so there wasn’t the existential threat that often goes along with job hunting. It was still a little weird, though.

Tonight, I’ll be conducting Foothills Concert Band in our first Seniors concert since 2019. (We played in care homes 2-3 times per year in the beforetimes.) Instruments will be masked where possible (and rapid COVID tests done when not). And this is at the Kerby Centre, so the audience is self-selecting. #COVID19AB #yycMusic
