It is not often that you can see the Northern Lights from within an urban area. But tonight was one of those nights.
It was also amazing how modern smart phone cameras can pick up even more detail than you could see live. Note: The reddish colour at left in the first image is light pollution from a parking lot light.
If the #CFL can’t get the right tech into the Command Centre to make better decisions than they showed in the 2 games tonight, dump it and let the refs on the field call the game. I’m frustrated by how timid the on-field officials are now. Essentially, a person in a room in Toronto is the Head Referee. It’s a bad thing for an otherwise great league.
On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, you would not go wrong spending some time with Season 16 of Uncover from CBC Podcasts, an 8-part story about Kuper Island Residential School. [This does come with a content warning because the reality of Residential Schools was harsh.] Listen or read transcripts here:

#Curling friends, Hell has frozen over. After four decades, TSN has changed the theme song for their Curling coverage. (To be honest, it’s growing on me. Even considering the fact that it’s no longer in a major key.)
I know dunking is frowned upon here, but this is #yyccc comedy gold.
Headline:
Calgary Coun. Sean Chu testifies for defence at former colleague Joe Magliocca’s fraud trial
Is that what they call a Lack of Character witness? 🤣
TFW you can’t quite remember the exact syntax of some markup you need for your task, but you do remember you wrote a blog post about it and can get the specifics there. Thanks, Past Me. #MacAdmins
