Yesterday, my dear, dear friend Darrell Croft died. We met through music, but our friendship went well beyond that, being Best Man at our respective weddings. I will deeply miss him but I will always remember all the times we had together — joyous and challenging — and try to carry his spirit in the way I live.

I had been a regular viewer of Global News Morning on weekends, as they were the only station doing local news and weather in Calgary. In the latest decision to attempt to increase profits, Global has eliminated the Calgary-based show and is running a sterile show out of Edmonton. (It has to be that way because they are trying to make it look like a local show, so they are assembling clips, eliminating any rapport between the on-air talent.) Epic fail. #yyc #GlobalNews #yyctv

Started my Second Annual Walk-a-Marathon-in-a-Week vacation project. Off to a tremendous start: a total of 11 km in two segments, 140 m ascended in elevation, all in under 2 hours.
I have long thought the #CFL should ban head tackles, back to the days of Dirty Bird.
