Dear POTUS, The Justice Department, and the FCC. By eliminating the Paramount Decrees, you have made way for the strikes and shutdown of our industry. That was an antiquated antitrust law that held back studios and streamers from forming monopolies. They are now crushing labor because there is no competition—there is no recourse to their demands. Please reinstate or better your antitrust laws for the entertainment industry.

When your home burns, floods, or is destroyed in an extreme climate weather event, when someone in your family dies from heat waves, or when crops fail and people starve—come for these three people: Wael Sawan (Shell CEO), Darren Woods (Exxon CEO), and Patrick Pouyanne (TotalEnergies CEO). They knew what was coming and did it to you anyway. Sue them, shame them, heckle them, despise them. These are choices. They are to blame, not society.

“‘There is no excuse for it. Thomas could invite them to his Christmas party and he could attend Christmas parties, as long as they are not discussing any cases. His Christmas party should not be paid for by lawyers,’ Painter said. ‘A federal government employee collecting money from lawyers for any reason … I don’t see how that works.’”

“...It’s not about property. It’s not about a barbed wire fence, something that’s ‘this is mine, this is yours.’ It’s fundamentally looking at land as something that you are a part of and hold a responsibility to look after.” -Jesse ShortBull

“I urge us striking at the same time as the writers to change the awful inequity of money and power in film and television. I remember when we went on strike in 1960, the only time writers and actors struck at the same time. That strike got us film residual checks. A monumental change.

This moment is important and unusual, not to be missed.”

“The clean energy subsidies that undergird President Joe Biden’s climate agenda have just prompted one Norwegian manufacturer to choose Michigan, not Europe, as the site of a nearly $500M factory that will produce the equipment needed to extract hydrogen from water.”
😀 Biden is smashing it.

Okay. So we all understand that the Supreme Court has become a right-wing ideological political institution under Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Barrett, Kavanaugh, & Roberts. They're for sale & illegitimate. Now, we have to beat them in the executive branch & the legislature.

I’m so proud to have been a part of this film and the uplifting strength, wisdom, and love of Mother Earth and all creation that is displayed in the relatively unknown story of the Lakota, Nakota, and Dakota people’s history. You do not know the history of America without the revelations of this film told by the side of those who have lived it.

Lakota Nation vs. United States is coming to theaters on July 14th.

“Many around the world closely followed the plight last week of five wealthy men who went missing aboard a Titanic-bound submersible. Meanwhile, researchers at the United Nations' International Organization for Migration (IOM) updated the number of migrants who have died trying to reach Europe by sea this year: nearly 2,000.”

Thanks for having Sarah Eagle Heart, Laura Tomaselli, & me on Morning Joe to discuss Lakota Nation vs. United States. This doc was made for people to get the full history of the Lakota's story of US history, their treaties, & their sacred Black Hills. In school, we only hear half of the story. Please go check out this film, in theaters July 14.
