Jacksonville just elected a new mayor. Donna Deegan. In the late nineties, I took a lot of trips to Long Island from upstate New York, sometimes taking the Major Deegan Expressway. Whenever I see a story or post about Mayor Deegan I think of that road. If I ever meet her I hope I don't slip up and call her Major.
Wow! UNF cancels classes for Tuesday and Wednesday. Always impressed that a decision is made early so that students aren't guessing what to do. #Idalia
