So uhh please let people promote their own work on Mastodon. I would so much rather see things that people I follow made or are otherwise involved with and earning a living by than see the usual irrelevant promoted ad stuff from FB insta and twtwtwer. How is this even a discussion

These next few weeks I’m going to try to keep up with lexember as best I can, but the entries will probably be very much abbreviated as I’ll have holiday stuff going on.
yewi /ˈjɛwi/ n. calendar
Just finished watching Spirited Away, such a great movie. I haven’t seen it since it first came out uhhh 20 years ago jfc. #turnsToDust
Is cat oven the most miserable deck to play against? I feel zero remorse slow rolling against it in #mtgarena

Today's words when combined is a disgusting combination. Garbage Juice. You know, that mixture of fluids that pools at the bottom of your kitchen trash can? Foul. I've been using that phrase since first hearing it on Trailer Park Boys, lol. Here are the words that make up this awful phrase:
ayaye /aˈjajɛ/ n. garbage, trash, rubbish, junk
ewo /ˈɛwɔ/ n. juice, fluid, liquid, syrup, blood
I don't have anything special to say about this one, just trying to pick out words I might need in the near future.
pitula /piˈtula/ v. cooperate, collaborate
This is a fun one, this word has some connotations of magical or paranormal or otherwise occult
kuchyi /ˈkuci/ adj. special, rare, weird, strange, peculiar
Here’s a question for #nonbinary pals: what kinds of kinship terms do you like? Sibling seems good for brother/sister relationships, but I can’t find a great one for son/daughter relationships. There’s child, offspring, and a few others but those seem not awesome… what do you prefer for yourself?
the longer I am by myself the weirder the things I just blurt out get. Earlier today I just said "chunky donuts" to myself for no real reason. I don't know what that means.
I would like to see the International Phonetic Alphabet get more use by non-linguist people, it’s so much more helpful than other methods when trying to describe pronunciations
Todays word is a good versatile one that can be used all over the place. Not just any adjective, this one can be used as an interjection, a greeting, an intensifier, or just sprinkled around wherever it might be appreciated.
nyemune /ɲɛˈmunɛ/ adj. great (excellent), awesome
#Lexember backfill, day 3 #Yupiche
nyaki /ˈɲaki/ n. letter (of an alphabet)
The plural form of this will be the name of the writing system, which I think may get turned into a syllabary of some kind.
