That’s not a bad theory. The top person in my league right now is doing, like, seven languages so that could definitely track with having a few classes of students all using it.

Having podcast transcriptions isn’t totally new in lots of apps. But I’ve finally checked them out in the default #podcasts app.

It’s so cool we have technology like this — I type on my magic rectangle that can access all of our collective knowledge instantly.

So I end up sending texts or Discord messages with weird grammar because the system did it on its own, and I spend so much time fixing the weird shit it changes.

What sucks is that you can’t just turn off this one feature. General purpose autocorrect and this feature are lumped under the same setting…for some dumb #Apple reason.

The #Apple predictive text stuff on #iOS and #iPadOS is so weird and bad I’m trying — at least on my iPad — to not use it.

But the rub here is that I don’t really mind it helping me with my terrible spelling — so basic autorcorrect.

But they’ve added this “predictive” -ish feature thing where it’ll show a little blue line under text IT has changed on its own that IT thinks you want grammaticaly. However, for me it’s like 90% wrong, and I end up not even noticing it changing my text. 1/x

@strathearnrose I’ve looked to just see if there’s software to game the system, and there are some bots you can use on the web client of Duolingo. I figure that’s what these people are using.

For what end I have no idea. Just to be jerks, I guess.

@Morning1 I’ve been doing Japanese, and I think they don’t have some of the same features as other languages because I keep hearing about stories and other things that I’ve never experienced.

@Morning1 I wanted to get into Diamond once just to say that I did. So I worked hard last week to finally do it. By the end of the week I had to get 4,800xp, and it was a slog, and I learned nothing (mostly because I was grinding music lessons and I have a music degree, sooo).

But now that I’m here, I have, like, 100xp over the last couple of days, and I’m definitely doing one or two lessons per day now.

I’ll never work back up to this level again, that’s for sure. There’s no reason to.

The Diamond League bots are wild, man. It’s two days into the week and you have 13,000xp? Suuuure.

I came here to second this. Affinity suite is the only one that’s gotten close in my opinion; though I’m sure if the file uses some specific Photoshop thing it may not be perfect.

But it’s always been pretty close to me.

I was just trying to change my #iPhone wallpaper to something else, and this company with a market cap of $2 Trillion dollars still doesn’t let me simply find a photo I have in the Files app while attempting to do this simple operation.

You have to first put the image in the Photos app.
