@adr I bought one a few weeks back for a LED project, and I couldn't believe how cheap these things are these days. Just a few years back when mucking around with addressable LEDs i had to buy either custom boards or hack together something. Now with a $8 board and WLED you can do so much cool shit.
@coral No worries! This particular level of geekery is one i enjoy, and I was hip deep in it for years. It's a weird niche.
@coral SSO/FedAuth is likely a...5 year solution at this point? Something like that. Longer-term, the current bet for auth seems to be digital wallets, where patrons/users control their own information release from a secure source.
