Rock piles 100+ years ago "created" when the ranch expanded. Workers collected the rock to clear land for agricultural / forestry expansion.

We just had some rolling thunder and lightening and rainfall still going on. Despite still night one can see it's partly cloudy, temperature is around 8°C.

Cerro de Jocotitlan, also known as Xocotépetl, in clouds this morning, at least the somewhat 1200 meters the volcano is above our elevation here at La Media Luna at the rancho El Ojo de Agua.
Jocotitlán (Elevation 3,910 m - 12,830 ft) was considered holy by the Mazahua and Otomi peoples.
The former called it Nguemore ("sacred mountain"), while the latter called it Gumidi ("he who sits facing straight forward").

Good morning from La Media Luna - it is f*cking cold again and I'm still stuck respective little progress with the "cimnea". i finally got all the chimney pipes yet they are only in one diameter available/sold while the firebox is an older D.I.Y. model with a not matching diameter. So will need to jerry-rig an adapter so I can get that thing finally going and heat the living quarters to a reasonanble temperature.
Currently it's walk-in freezer ambiente......❄️☃️😰
