Another from Oblivion Underground is an older set from Dolphin. Really excellent set construction for a live audience here.

Not quite TYFTH enough for a post, but if you're in the mood for some hardcore I'd recommend Scorpio and Tones' recent Made in Narnia set. Brings back lots of THC memories, and sounds a lot like a Lunch & Kanon b2b.

It's actually a dark ambient set that I've been working on over the past few months, but it's back on pause for now. The plan was to mix harmonically/in key throughout, and although I've had some really beautiful results it's tough going to repeatedly listen to the same section of dark droning while searching for connections.
Definitely planning to come back to it eventually, and I might even test out a version or two on stream when the time comes.
File under inspiration:
I try to vary my dark ambient listening as much as possible, but it's still Cryo Chamber that I keep coming back to. The new Dahlia's Tear album is a good example of why: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfFCjfThnwE

Belated thanks to everyone who joined me for the set on Monday - we had a larger group than normal and it was great to see everyone enjoying it. As always, it was an absolute pleasure.
The set will be going up on soundcloud too (when I'll add a few other thoughts in a post), but for now here's the tracklist:
Will get a more official post up soon, but the plan now is for the set to be Monday evening (JST) instead. I've ended up spending more time on it than I expected, so I'd like to finish up a few more track choices before trying it out live.
Oops, latest practice saw things go into standard darker style towards the end, so we'll see what happens on the day. Looking most likely to be Sunday evening JST at this stage.
Also about time I posted up a few inspiration references:
I've been lucky enough to see a lot of Nagasawa Rosetsu's work over the years (including the collection at Muryo-ji, Wakayama), but I recently saw this incredible piece for the first time.
Titled 雨中釣燈龍図 (うちゅうつりとうろうず), translated as 'Hanging Lantern in the Rain,' it's part of the National Museum's often-rotated collection.
@Sherkel Yes, but only vague plans at this stage! I'm still trying to work out if I actually have a process, so that'll have to wait until I've at least a couple of tracks finished.
The next TYFTH Live will be this weekend - time and day TBA. I'm planning on trying out some newer, more melodic tracks that wouldn't usually make it into one of my sets, so fans of Substanced et al might enjoy this one.
It'll be on the shorter side, but there'll be more later this month if I can manage it.
This month is a lot busier than expected, but there are still plans for at least one February stream. Most likely at the moment is a shorter set of recent(ish) melodic freeform, somewhere around the 30 minute range.
In other news the tracks I've been hunting have fallen through again, and so that 'other' set won't be happening for a while yet.
@Sherkel Always good to gopher one when needed!
The recent routine of poking around in Reason every day was interrupted by that last mix, but I'm back at it now. I've also been seeking out some track/mix inspiration away from NRG and freeform, so I might end up sharing a few notes here.
Big thanks as always to everyone who listened to last night's 'unreleased' set, I really enjoyed it. There's no tracklist this time, but those who listened live had a little extra info on some of what was being played...
TYFTH Live 005 will start at 22:00 tomorrow (26th January). It's unreleased tracks this time, ranging from very, very old to more recent. A few will almost definitely be getting their first-ever play in a mixed set.
TYFTH Live 005, 26th January - will update asap with more info.
The next 'big' TYFTH Live will be in a couple of weeks, I'm doing some track rummaging that'll make it a longer set that I'd originally had in mind. Will settle on the date soon, and I'm working on a couple of other things in the meantime.
The audio from TYFTH Live 004 is now downloadable via soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/thank-you-for-the-horse/plasmadancer-tyfth-live-004-24th-december-2019
I won't be doing this with every stream set, but either way new sessions will be up on YouTube as and when, of course.
