A post went viral on Mastodon and all I got were friendly replies and nice links. ❤️
The trolley problem: your imagination versus the even sadder reality. (Just got this from a friend who also collects trolley problem variants.)

Look at me showing off my Mathstodon-shirt when the secret service came by to hand me the first copy of their legendary Christmas puzzle! (Unfortunately the puzzle is only available in Dutch: https://www.aivd.nl/onderwerpen/aivd-kerstpuzzel/documenten/publicaties/2022/12/13/aivd-kerstpuzzel-2022-opgaven-en-antwoordformulier)
Today I saw a student wearing this shirt, surrounded by grinning mathematicians and computer scientists - plus an undefined third type of people who looked very confused.
Let me (re)introduce myself! My name is Ionica. I am a professor of science communication in Leiden where I study and teach #SciComm.
I moved from social to mathstodon, looking for a smaller local community (and you have the best t-shirt). I did my PhD on number theory and most of the science communication I do is still related to mathematics.
My posts will be mostly in Dutch, but work-related things will be in English (hope that is okay)!
