Fixed my wife’s umbrella handle with #FreeCAD.

Usually, I just use a thread from the Fastener workbench, but this one wasn’t a standard at all. Cutting it out with the Subtractive Helix tool was so easy that I might just use that method all the time from now on. Normally, adjusting and experimenting with the diameters needs to be done anyway to get the fit just right due to print tolerances.

Quick Sunday Morning Project: replacing the speaker terminals on a Luxman LV-103. The original set was vaguely ok, but the Plastic has started to fade, which is always a sign of impending brittleness, and the old set does not accept banana plugs.

So I got a replacement set from https://speaker-terminal.com (highly recommended!). I've already done the L-525 I mentioned yesterday, but it was so simple a procedure that I completely forgot to take pics.

Wenn die Ummantelung des Fahrradschlosses kaputt geht, scheuern die einzelnen Kettenglieder den Lack am Fahrrad ab. Um weiteren Schaden zu verhindern, wird die Ummantelung hier ausgetauscht. Auf dem Markt gibt es auch Universalschläuche, falls der Hersteller mal keinen Ersatz anbietet.

If the coating on the bike lock breaks, the individual chain links will rub off the paint on the bike. To prevent further damage, the coating is replaced here. Universal tubes are also available on the market if the manufacturer does not offer a replacement.

There was a trend maybe 10 or 15 years ago if people turning compressed gas cylinders into wind chimes or gongs. For the past several months or the year I've been seeing these nitrous canisters lying in gutters because people get high off of them and then just drop them out of their cars.

I saw one on my bike ride this morning and I thought I would see if I could make a gong out of one

Vorliegende Powerline stellt auf einmal den Dienst ein, was sich durch den Ausfall der Ethernet-Verbindung am PC bemerkbar macht. Noch nicht mal mehr die Power-LED leuchtet. Deswegen liegt der Fehler höchstwahrscheinlich am internen Netzteil der Powerline. Dieses wird gezielt untersucht, es ist die Diode des Flybacks defekt. Nach dem Austausch funktioniert die Powerline wieder.

This powerline suddenly stops working, which is noticeable due to the failure of the ethernet connection on the PC. Not even the power LED is lit anymore. Therefore, the fault is most likely due to the internal power supply of the powerline. This is examined specifically, and the flyback diode is found to be defective.

Can anyone identify this type of mains switch (left pic)? It's inside a Jaleco Arm Champs 2 arcade machine that I am working on repairing. I've already serviced the power chain and measured all the correct voltages (right pic). When looking at various second-hand models, many basic user guides were missing as well,

I suggest sending that letter to every manufacturer making machines for your region. It will get no results but it will send the message they don’t hear enough of.
