How can we in the Greater Northwest be effective advocates for rail in 2026 and beyond? (1/2)
In these divisive times, are you or your employer looking for a way to support connecting people? Mark Twain said "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness." Rail travel benefits the economy and the environment, and furthers equity, which is why it is supported by liberals and conservatives. So please donate to All Aboard Washington at https://www.aawa.us/support/ and All Aboard Northwest at https://allaboardnw.org/support/ We need your help!
Big Sky North Coast Corridor: Federal Momentum
Senator Tim Sheehy has introduced S.2916, a bill that would facilitate the advancement of long-distance passenger rail projects, such as the Big Sky North Coast Corridor (BSNCC), in the federal Corridor ID program.
As the Fairfield Sun Times explains, the bill would “remove consideration of non-federal match funding for long-distance corridors” — a barrier that has made it harder for multi-state projects to compete fairly.
