Today is the last day to donate to Socel's Kofi :ko_fi: for the coming month. If you have been putting off supporting for this month, today is the last day.
Our goal is the server rent of 239.00 USD.
We are currently at about 35.00 (14%).
The Fediverse is not free. Someone has to pay for the things everyone else gets for free. And in some ways it doesnt have to, individually, be much, IF it is done collectively enough.
Please give if you can.

Having re-watched Avatar: The Last Airbender recently, I can safely say that it is one of the very best animated TV shows ever made.
It's starting to show it's age at this point, but it could be released today and still amaze.

What about the other alternate world scenario where he didn't turn down a job offer from Joseph Hanna and William Barbera to become an animator at the MGM studio? :blobthinking:
Socel.net is paid for by the admin, and the generous donations of supporters. We are always accepting donations for the next month of server use from those that can give. Please use the link below to give if you would like to contribute.
Now for tip from me to you:
Hash tags are very helpful on Masto. The Mastodon Hashtag Helper extension for firefox-based browsers helps collect recent tags used. And puts them as buttons under the toot-maker.

Hearing a piece of classical music on the radio that sounds really familiar and you wonder where you've heard it before and then it hits you:
Earlier this year I was impacted by the mass layoffs at Block, which sucks. One upside, however, is that it finally gave me time to work on a major update to PageTurn, my app for hands-free document and sheet music reading.
This release adds a bunch of new features, including:
• Set lists
• Ebook support
• Web page support (surprisingly great for recipes when your hands are messy)
It's on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pageturn/id1589601355
Downloads/boosts/shares very much appreciated 🙂
I'm watching ABBA: The Movie and it is an absolute trip. Something like it couldn't be made today.
Heard a familiar melody while an episode of Batwheels was on in the background and just couldn't place it until I realised it was a piece of the Frakazoid! theme :blob_laughing:
Please help support Socel with a donation. Fedi servers are paid for by their owners. And provided as a service to the members. And sometime this service costs a fair amount. So contributing to your server's crowdfund can be a very big help. Please give what you can.

The local #PBS station is hurting so badly they've started soliciting donations door-to-door :yikes:
As a kid, I found 'Matilda' by Roald Dahl a brilliant book but having just re-read it as an adult, it is downright SUPERB!
Socel is one week from the end of its fundraise for Jan 20 to Feb 19. If you can help pay for the next month, please do.
