Lack of care in handling tots in high chairs lands Forest Hill nursery black marks
Children were dragged across a room in unfastened high chairs at a nursery downgraded from ‘good’ to ‘inadequate’ by Ofsted.
An inspector from the education watchdog found staff didn’t know how to handle children safely when they visited Forest Hill Nursery, in Devonshire Road, in March.
Workers led children by their wrists and forearms, which put children at risk of getting hurt, a report published by Ofsted said following the inspection.
The inspector concluded that children’s safety was compromised by ‘poor practice’ and ‘insufficient oversight’ at the nursery, which looks after about 30 children...

On the 18th May 2015 the wall of mirth came down forever at The Hob in Forest Hill. A comedian's favourite venue back then. I saw @HarryHill upstairs which was just superb. Get ready, the new landlord and landlady Teddy and Fran are planning to bring the good times back 😁👍🏻🙏🏻

Call me fickle.. I'm not sure this new crossing has been thought through / executed very well. In what world does a crossing for cycles have a high kerb? Not only a high kerb but the exact point it starts to rise up from a drop? @LewishamCouncil @Brenda_Dacres #se23

Following a prolonged dry spell (the whole of Saturday being warm) what I suspect to be the beginning on the drought of 2024 for London, Lake Flacid has dried out completely. We need a hosepipe ban IMMEDIATELY.! #se23
