Wow, we have seen the devastion 140 mph winds can do in Florida. So suprised to discover on the BBC Weather App that today it is forecasting Sydenham will have winds 100 times stronger - 14,122 mph !!!

The Sydenham Hill & Penge West railway line into Victoria was disrupted yesterday morning. This was due to a train striking and killing a person at West Dulwich Station. Services resumed early afternoon.

The proposed tolls for Blackwall & Silvertown Tunnels have been announced. These start when the Silvertown Tunnel opens next spring. Expect £4 each way in peak hours & free overnight.
Also extra pressure on the 'free' Rotherhithe and Tower Bridge crossings.
Why do East/Southeast residents have to pay for the richer West London repairs to its old Victorian crossings when they will not have to contribute to the maintenance of the East London crossings.

For those who took issue with the expensive vandalism of ulez cameras in Sydenham that included taking angle grinders to traffic lights blocking pavements and taking out the pedestrian crossing of our Bell Green gyratory putting school children at risk.

Lawrie Park Avenue/Sydenham Avenue roundabout roadworks has a spanking new water fountain. Very impressive!
A man was spotted in Kirkdale weilding a knife variously described as a machete or Egyptian. Police rushed to the scene and were seen interviewing the man who was reportedly taken into custody.
