We can’t increase income tax because it will hurt workers, capital gains because it will hurt business, national insurance because it will hurt business and workers, pensions because it will hurt pensioners, inheritance tax because it will hurt people who are dead (?!). We can’t borrow because the markets won’t like it. We can’t ‘print money’ because it will cause inflation. How precisely are we going to pay for our crumbling infrastructure and services which are dragging us down. #ukpolitics

The theatre I work at has a ETC Ion which isn’t so budget friendly. Outside of that I use a NX-Touch with Onyx which is a nice little desk and much more kind on the wallet. Onyx is free for one universe of output and is pretty full featured, although quite different to the etc system which feels better for a theatre.
@Timolarch yep, you can largely curate your own feed. I found it takes a little while and quite a few follows but after a while it begins to settle in to place.

Saw Murder on the Orient Express at Cambridge Arts yesterday evening. The performance was excellent and the set was fantastic with its continuously moving train carriages. It’s currently touring the country and is worth seeings if you get the chance. An imaginative production of a well known story. #theatre #cambridge

So fuel duty remains frozen since 2011 (plus a “temporary” cut) yet bus and train prices have been going up pretty much continuously…
This constant car focus is getting absurd.
I am aware that there are many areas of the country where people have little option, but surely the £3 billion a year on the 5p cut alone would go quite some way towards some extra buses… (not to mention had fuel duty increased with inflation since 2011…) #budget #ukpol
A spot of camel racing with a new game for the holiday! Camel Up! is a simple (ish) game with a fun theme and holds the tension to the end. Plus it has had a pyramid dice dropper and pop up palm trees! Understandable enough to a 89 year old to win after 2 games… #boardgames
