How you know you've won: So I was reading an email from the Free State Project's director about an entertaining incident he had encountered the other day. He was at a small cafe in Dover alongside a ton of other free staters (just so coincidentally packing the cafe, apparently independent of one another) when a group of politicians rolled in. These politicians were democrats and sat down to have a meeting of some kind. Well, while holding this meeting they could be overheard complaining about all the free staters who’d been moving in. They were complaining about being surrounded by free staters. This isn’t really anything new, but what is humorous is that they were apparently unaware of the fact they were completely surrounded by free staters in the cafe.
Later it was pointed out on social media that the former Maine senator Eric Brakey who is now the Free State Project’s executive director was in the background of a picture that the democrats took of the meeting and posted to social media.
The left in New Hampshire isn’t wrong when they complain libertarians and free staters have taken over the state. The house is at around 100 libertarians currently and for the first time ever we have 5 libertarians in the senate too! This is 100 out of 400 in the state house and I think it’s 5 out of 24 in the senate. Every two years the number of republicans and democrats in the senate and house decline and the libertarians take their place! Where else in the world do you see successes like these? We don’t “own” New Hampshire yet, but we are getting closer every day and it’s plain as day to see why the left and right are complaining.
A follow up to what is so disturbing about this proposal in France to criminalize 'incitement' of piracy:
"The act of inciting by any means, including an advertisement, the use of an online public communication service, a device, or software, allowing access to a competition or sporting event without authorization"
To ban the public from advocating free expression is utmost disturbing.
France Mulls Instant IPTV Blocks, €750K Fines & New Piracy Crime of ‘Incitement’:
I want to make it unequivocally clear that I wholeheartedly advocate for the elimination of the artificial creation they call 'copyright law' and push forward the ideas of the free dissemination of information, of which political opponents may refer to as 'piracy' or 'incitement'.
To surrender free expression for the benefit of a tiny minority is to hand over democracy as well by it's very nature. Whether I agree with the idea it works or doesn't being less material given it's still seemingly the least bad governance system man has implemented thus far. To forego it for the benefit of a tiny minority is insane.
The left may argue for socialism under the logic a growing economic disparity between the haves and have nots being bad or dangerous for society, but this disparity is not the real underlying problem. The cause of this disparity is largely the result of the creation of copyrights and patents that business majors are taught in 101 classes, startup courses, and so forth. This is the means by which exploitation occurs and one of the major things that need attacking. For without it (among other regulations) large enterprises wouldn't be able to achieve the level of monopolies, duopolies, and minimal competition in a truly free market in the first place.
Even the copyright cartel themselves are openly admitting to said exploitation, here in their own words:
“The proliferation of matches and competition from other audiovisual content, both sporting and non-sporting, creates an overabundance of content that challenges the balance of the football audiovisual exploitation rights market.”
It's official: Our 420 Concord weed decrim rally in NH is on the calendar. This is for the sale more or less since weed is mostly legal here already. So is our Bitcoin Pizza Day at Little Zoe's! And don't forget about the Free State Project's annual conference coming up! We'll be there in attendance with all sorts of cool privacy oriented stuff.
4/20 is just around the corner. What are your plans for the day? I'm planning a trip to Concord, NH to rally at the statehouse for the complete decriminalization of the sale of currently illicit substances.
If you haven't voted in the Union Leader's manipulated polling yet what are you waiting for? The good news is that despite that they want people to vote yes people are overwhelmingly voting no. This is yet another opportunity for folks to do their part and tell their state reps to vote NO on vehicle inspections (that don't make us any safer statistically, but do benefit the lobbyists and industry that this law already on the books exists to benefit).
Great news! I know we're a little behind other states at eliminating or minimizing the inspection nonsense, but we're close to passing a bill in New Hampshire to eliminate inspections. The house just passed HB649 that will eliminate inspects 212 yeas to 143 nays. Now we have a couple of weeks to let everyone know to reach out to their senators to pass the senate version of the bill so this thing becomes law!
PS: Next up to eliminate: Vehicle registration, license plates, and drivers licenses ...what can I say I'm an optimist, but each year libertarians get a bit closer in taking over the state. We've got a 100 reps in the house out of 400 and 5 of 24 in the senate. Those 5 were elected in the past couple of years too, so our rate of expansion is amazing and really spurred on by the Free State Project- which is a migration of libertarians from around the world to New Hampshire for the purpose of working together to establish freedom somewhere.
If you ever thought law enforcement did good think again. Law enforcement has been pressuring businesses to take greater steps to stop stop scammers. Initially scammers would threaten little old ladies with jail time if they didn’t pay their back taxes immediately and would then proceed to direct them to purchase gift cards and similar products like AT&T prepaid wireless refill cards. So stores put up signs warning customers that government employees would never demand payment of back taxes in gift cards. This of course didn’t work with people this stupid. So now when you need to purchase prepaid refill cards (you pretty much always need more than one) you get met with skepticism from cashiers at checkout when you try to purchase enough refill cards to activate a new phone and obtain the 1-year discounted plan from AT&T. OK, so in addition they then started restricting the # of cards you could buy, not the amount, but the #, so now you need to go back the next day to purchase the 4 additional $30 refill cards you need. Well, that worked yesteryear, but now AT&T itself has put a limit on how many cards you can use at activation. It’s 3. No, it’s not a dollar amount, it’s 3. How this is suppose to hinder scammers I do not know. What you now have to do is find a store that sells the variable denominated refill cards that you can get in amounts from $10-100. Then get 3 of those and activation is still possible for the $300 1-year plan that is available at a discounted price.
The scammers have no problem directing their little old ladies to particular stores to obtain the variable amount refill cards. What does this mean? Scammers 1, government 0, the public and particularly the poor -1.
How did Rep. Eric Gallager ever get elected? Bill HB649 is overwhelmingly favored by the people of New Hampshire. It would end mandatory inspections. These are nothing other than a money grab by mechanics and there is an entire lobby organization that hinders these bills when they come about from passing.
Ohh, he's probably getting paid off. Now I understand how he got elected and why he is against this bill.
He's making up some nonsense about vehicle inspections being connected to safety and the vehicular security aspect while likely correct in thinking you can't have a conversation about security without source code being available doesn't lead logically to inspections being neccessary or your mechanic looking at the source code. That isn't fundamentally how this works. Your sources should be released, the world can examine the code for security issues, those issues get reported, they get patched, they get fixed, and then a binary becomes available (firmware) that at most a mechanic can apply. The availability of security patched firmwares is important, the mandatory inspection are utterly dumb and a money grab. I nor anyone else should be forced to pay $40 for an inspection when I can do an inspection myself, or a friend, or ANY MECHANIC on my own volition. The evidence is clear, vehicle inspections don't make us any safer, and many states have done away with them or reduced how often they're required.
I will add this guy is more or less complaining about being a democratically elected representative, and then not listening to his constituents. In fact he's on a Mastodon instance that blocks his constituents that don't share his political perspective, and it's not just right wing conservatives.

Have you written to Ian Freeman? Ian's been fighting for all of our freedom since long before Ross Ulbricht founded the Silk Road. He introduced the masses to cryptocurrency via his church and his nationally syndicated talk show Free Talk Live. Ian advocates for peaceful non-government non-violent solutions to problems and is currently sitting in a cage over it. In this particular case a guy named Phil Christiana who affiliates with a gang calling itself the FBI has spearheaded the attack on Ian and other free staters. Phil has been focused on attacking his political enemies (free staters) for over two decades now (before Ian and FTL moved to NH). Ian has been fighting in this particular case for your financial freedom through the promotion of Bitcoin (and cryptocurrency) on a widely heard nationally syndicated radio program called Free Talk Live as well as online and offline. This is Phil Christiana's 3rd attempt to take Ian Freeman out. He's serving 8 years, though will likely be out in 4 1/2 and possibly sooner if appeals are successful.
If you haven't written to Ian Freeman you might think about doing so, people whom are caged love to recieve info from the outside world. Check out:
