@jalefkowit what kind of cult is it? Can I bring my cat?
@randynose @sotolf it's just the best when they offer us their trust and presence, it's incredibly comforting!
@randynose @sotolf omg so much fluff!!
Haven't been feeling good today - but with a cat nap buddy like this, how couldn't it get better fast?
#catsofmastodon #catNap
@sotolf big oof :'D
@bchhun @curtismchale oh, that one also looks promising! Since I don't have a wearable, just plotting a route that is approximately the distance I want to do is extremely helpful! I ran somewhere I had never been before (and even found a new playground!)
So thank you all so much for your help and suggestions. I hope you will accept a picture of our cat as compensation.
@sotolf that is so very much understandable !
@koalakollektiv immer diese Karl-Marx-Hardliner 🙄
@sotolf I really like the name, had to read it two or three times :D
@bchhun @curtismchale I really just need inspiration and to plot a route - I could use Open street map for that, but that's not super user friendly.
I'm gonna check out trail routers GPS capabilities. Other than that, the apps sadly have too many trackers built in for my taste (trail router 1, strava 8 trackers). If need be, I'll just plot a route and try my best to find it in the real world :D
@oliver AMAZING!!
Thank you!
I mean, I need to test this, but I downloaded the app (aurora store only) and it provides several routes. I'll be curious to see how it does!!
Thank you again!!
To all the #running enthusiast or people who don't like running but can't do without it either: do you know of an app that will suggest a route based on starting and endpoint and given the distance? I'm running out of routes in my neighborhood, and since I'm mostly running with my daughter I need to be able to get home quickly given my current distance I can run without collapsing of about 6k.
Help, #fediverse, you are my only hope!*
*exaggerated for obvious reasons
@StampedingLonghorn so either your boss didn't know what was to do or your coworker didn't?
A few days ago I finished the #TheOdinProject foundations course! It took me several weeks since I started after @annasara mentioned the existence of it, with multiple breaks (move, covid infection and such nonsense). It was very often quite hard since those lessons where basically the first congruent experience in coding and learning a programming language for me but it very much solidified my resolve to make a career switch to something making me incredibly happy!
@jalefkowit Reading about the "Sea Peoples" strongly evokes a mental image that I first had when I read about Robin Hobb's Red Ship Raiders
@kev @murtezayesil @annasara @selea I...
I don't know why not :D
Did not think of it. I will give it a whirl and see what's happening
@kev @murtezayesil @annasara @selea thank you all! Yeah, WP has standard search, I liked the tweaks that relevanssi or ivory provide.
Turns out, the search results page looks like something from the earliest web pages, unformatted text everywhere. Which is due to the blankslate child theme the designer at the time implemented, and by now everything has grown on that structure and is not easily replaced.
Do any of you have an easy solution up your sleeve? :D
Hey #fediverse,
an NGO I'm part of has a wordpress website, and while I know how to tweak it here and there I'm not familiar with ALL of the plugins (I mean, there are what - 60000?)
We want to implement a search function for the website which belongs to the knowledge base flavor of web presences.
Now the question: which WP search plugin can you recommend? Free, one-time fee and subscription are all valid types.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
