argh birdsite is a WEBSITE not an APP. There is an app for it, sure. But it's not an app itself. Get your terminology right dammit.
I mean the *only* email address they have (or at least the half of the couple who I want to communicate with) is the joint one. Spouse and I had a joint email address too for a while for a specific project, but that was in addition to all our other email addresses! (I think he has 4, and I have 6)
Thing I don't understand at all: joint email address of a couple who do each have their own phone.
@wizzwizz4 Please report it if you're so inclined! I'm running a bit low on spoons right now.
@wizzwizz4 No, I didn't know it was a bug, I thought it was deliberate design.
@datn@spanner.works @DuckDuckGo The help text may say that it works, but my experience is that it doesn't work: more often than not I get the more popular alternative rather than the literal I actually search for, *without listing the thing I search for even if it exists*. The only way to get that (and not even reliably) is to search for ["wantedresult" - unwantedresult].
Search engines, why do you (yes, all of you, even DuckDuckGo) disregard quotes? Searching for literal text or a specific spelling (even deliberately for a specific misspelling) is now a thing of the past?
I'm so glad I thought up the phrase "my social battery is flat" because that's absolutely what it is.
Back from curate's egg kind of event (parts of it were excellent) and now realise that my social battery was flat long before I actually noticed and left the (good, but too much at the time) company.

When a neurotypical person can't drop what they're doing at a moment's notice it's because what they're doing is super important.
When an autistic person can't drop what they're doing at a moment's notice it's because they're rigid in their thinking.
Is hating double standards an autistic trait?
This is so true. http://amptoons.com/blog/?p=25431

Getting rid of piracy, even if that were possible, wouldn’t change how much most people spend on entertainment."
@gamingonlinux That NetHack is still going strong after so many years.
@onf How long until we get Thanksgiving as an unofficial holiday, like we've got Valentine's Day?
@onf ... and I thought we didn't have it but now I've been in two main-street shopping centers and yes, up to 90% have "black friday sale".
Lost my transport card. Went to website to get new one, found only the *previous* one registered there and had to call customer service to ask for end date of current (lost) card to register it in order to cancel it (still clear?). Obviously couldn't read end date off lost card because it's lost!
But what I wanted to say: WONDERFUL customer service at ov-chipkaart.nl. Quick (no waiting), friendly, truly helpful when I didn't know exact redaction of name on card etcetera, problem solved.

@onf We don't really have Black Friday except for some megastores and webshops, probably because we (NL) don't have Thanksgiving. So if I need groceries I'll go to the store, no problem.
