@ak@beach.city But we're still on the St Nicholas music here.
@ak@beach.city I avoid public places with Christmas music as much as I can because there's one very popular song that I hate (which gives me nightmares, in fact).
@ak@beach.city I don't think there's any "should". If it's happening because it needs to happen, then it's just right and nothing to work yourself up for, is it?
Disabused a linguistics blogger of the notion that autism is an intellectual disability. They thanked me for it and said they hadn't known! ๐
@ak@beach.city We have builders too, hacking out holes in the wall of the house next door (perhaps to enlarge the windows). They put their cherry-picker in front of the bike racks so I had to squeeze past, and they're making so much noise now that Spouse dug out his noise-cancelling headphones.
Supermarket was playing St Nicholas songs, but all in 4/4 time, even the ones normally in 3/4. Very annoying and now I'm earwormed with one.
@OldBrushNewPaper Yes, but they're not always that way, only when they're grumpy when recovering from really bad flu.
Person: don't do X because that will make Y happen
Me: okay
Person: does X
Y: happens
Person: it's your fault
@dani Does it confuse people by making them think the message is going to both of you? (With the two couples I know with a joint email address, if I have something to say to only one of them I wait until I see them in the flesh because I don't know; though of course if someone has a personal email address they may still share it without my knowledge)
Found it when researching knife-throwing and went down a little rabbit hole.

@M0YNG I do accept "necessary cookies", just not all the trackers and ad settings and social media stuff.
Websites, why don't you remember my cookie settings?
Wow, friends are so good to have.
@Canageek@cybre.space Yes. It is. Leaves me slack-weak-giddy when it happens.
me: I want to do things today
me trying to do things: *paralyzed*
