Okay folks, I've been asked a question about managing needs and expectations in #polyamory. For future reference, as long as I have spoons and time I am always happy to answer questions for polyam folks trying to figure stuff out.

Okay, thanks to @djsundog I've been reminded of this story, and I think folks here will appreciate it.

By the time I knew my mother, MS has slowed her down pretty badly, but my father has *stories*.

One time, they had going to participate in a protest about #disability rights and Ima and some of her friends were planning on handcuffing themselves to the town hall steps.

Someone had the idea to go got some special cuffs so the police couldn't just unlock them, but would need to cut them free.

Boston CPS has taken kids from my fam. They can't afford a private lawyer, but don't trust the court assigned lawyers or CPS. If anyone knows a lawyer or legal service in MA that would help, please let me know! MA CPS is notorious for their bullshit and my fam is very vulnerable.

Exactly. It's not that all Jews are connected to the nation-state of modern Israel, it's that all Jews are part of the mytho-poetic nation of Israel and we need to reclaim that *from* the modern nation-state which is trying to gain control/exclusive rights to that identity.

@kittybecca@masto.jews.international I'm Ashkenazic by descent, but raised outside the culture bc adopted as an infant. I've picked up a bit of the culture from my birth family since reconnecting, but don't feel comfortable claiming it as *my* culture. I do feel comfortable claiming *JEWISH* as my culture and faith. @nev
